About the Pittsburgh Coaches Association

The Pittsburgh Coaches Association (PCA), is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization of professional coaches, founded over ten years ago to serve the Pittsburgh region.

Coaching is a collaborative partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The Pittsburgh Coaches Association seeks to support the coaching profession as an integral part of personal and professional development. Its members represent the highest quality in professional coaching.

The Pittsburgh Coaches Association is an official chapter of the International Coach Federation (ICF). Founded in 1995, the ICF is the leading global organization dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high standards, providing independent certification, and building a worldwide network of credentialed coaches. With more than 19,000 professional coaches representing more than 100 countries, the ICF is the voice of the global coaching profession.

The PCA exists to support and preserve the integrity of the coaching profession, whose members serve multiple coaching disciplines including executive, life, relationship, academic, career, and business coaching.

The organization is run by a volunteer elected Board of Directors, supported by the PCA Past Presidents, whose backgrounds are representative of many coaching disciplines.

The Pittsburgh Coaches Association hosts an open PCA Monthly Lunch and Learn Meeting, featuring a guest speaker sharing information on coaching, business development, and other timely topics of interest to the coaching profession and the public, as well as those interested in meeting professional coaches in the Pittsburgh area. These meetings are held at 11:30 am on the second Wednesday of every month. Attendees can register for monthly events online.

The Pittsburgh Coaches Association also hosts PCA Virtual Teleclasses, available to all interested and taking place on an ongoing basis. Association members also contribute to a free monthly newsletter and blog that is available to anyone through the PCA website or by subscription.
