The Pittsburgh Coaches Association (PCA), is a 501(c)6
non-profit organization of professional coaches, founded over ten years ago
to serve the Pittsburgh region.
Coaching is a collaborative partnering with clients in a thought-provoking
and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and
professional potential. The Pittsburgh Coaches Association seeks to support
the coaching profession as an integral part of personal and professional
development. Its members represent the highest quality in professional
coaching.
The Pittsburgh Coaches Association is an official chapter of the
International Coach
Federation (ICF). Founded in 1995, the ICF is the leading global
organization dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high
standards, providing independent certification, and building a worldwide
network of credentialed coaches. With more than 19,000 professional coaches
representing more than 100 countries, the ICF is the voice of the global
coaching profession.
Members of the Pittsburgh Coaches Association are required to adhere to the
Ethics and Regulations of the ICF including the full
ICF Code of Ethics. Additionally PCA Members are required to receive
coach training on and practice the
ICF Coaching Core Competencies.
The PCA exists to support and preserve the integrity of the coaching
profession, whose members serve multiple
coaching disciplines including executive, life, relationship, academic,
career, and business coaching.
The PCA Professional Coaches typically
provide a complimentary coaching session to any individual or organization
interested in further exploring coaching and can be contacted directly to
determine the optimal way to move forward. The organization is run by a
volunteer elected Board of Directors, supported by
the PCA Past Presidents, whose backgrounds are
representative of many coaching disciplines.
The Pittsburgh Coaches Association hosts an open PCA
Monthly Lunch and Learn Meeting, featuring a guest speaker sharing
information on coaching, business development, and other timely topics of
interest to the coaching profession and the public, as well as those
interested in meeting professional coaches in the Pittsburgh area. These
meetings are held at 11:30 am on the second Wednesday of every month.
Attendees can register for monthly events online.
The Pittsburgh Coaches Association also hosts
PCA Virtual Teleclasses, available
to all interested and taking place on an ongoing basis. Association members
also contribute to a free monthly newsletter
and blog that is
available to anyone through the PCA website or by subscription.
The members of the Pittsburgh Coaches Association have additionally authored
a supportive and inspirational e-Book, 29 Perspectives:
Success Strategies for Business and Life, available as a complementary
gift from the PCA.

Within the PCA membership, you will find Pittsburgh’s most knowledgeable
and experienced professional coaches, all of whom are required to adhere to
the
Regulations of the ICF, the most recognized and standardized coaching
criteria.
