Joining the Pittsburgh Coaches Association, a chapter of the International Coach Federation, establishes your professional commitment to the field of coaching.
Members
of the PCA experience a variety of benefits, including:
Monthly Meetings
PCA meetings are held monthly from September through June.
As a member, you will receive a discount on the meeting fee. Meetings
feature engaging guest speakers who address a wide range of
topics pertinent to the coaching profession, as well as lunch
and networking opportunities.
Professional Credibility and Public Awareness
Affiliation with PCA establishes your credibility as a professional coach committed to the highest ethical
standards and business practices. PCA also promotes awareness of
the coaching profession, both to the general public and
through collaboration with other professional organizations.
Every member of PCA benefits when the public has a greater
understanding and appreciation of the coaching profession.
Networking
One of the greatest benefits of membership is the
opportunity to network with other professional coaches who
share a common mission. Through attendance at meetings and
participation on monthly networking calls, members can learn
about current trends in the field of coaching, enlist help
with projects or collaborate with others, and share ideas and
inspiration with supportive colleagues.
Increased Profile through the PCA Website
Membership entitles you to a listing in the Find a Coach
section on the PCA website, which includes your photo and a
detailed description of your specialty areas and capabilities. Many members
receive clients through their PCA profile.
Teleclasses and Group-Sponsored Events
All PCA member coaches are eligible to teach teleclasses
on coaching-related topics, which are publicized on PCA's
website. Membership in PCA will also give members the opportunity
to participate in group-sponsored events designed to promote
the field of coaching and raise the profiles of member
coaches. Past events have included our successful Coaching
Works event and the TeleSummit.
Development of Your Leadership Skills
PCA welcomes member involvement! Share or develop your
leadership skills and other talents by becoming a board
member, committee member, project leader, or event planner.
