President's Message
|
Now more than ever professional coaching is making a difference in the world. Change is a constant and with it come the challenges that call for collaborative partnerships that offer support through target goals and action plans. This is how coaching can provide you with the focus needed in what can often be a sense of overwhelm in today's changing world.
The Pittsburgh Coaches Association (PCA) is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization with membership that includes over 60 professional coaches. The Pittsburgh Coaches Association is also is a chapter of the International Coach Federation (ICF), founded in 1995, and the leading global organization dedicated to advancing the coaching profession by setting high standards, providing independent certification and building a worldwide network of credentialed coaches. With more than 18,000 professional personal and business coaches in over 150 chapters, representing over 90 countries, the ICF is the voice of the global coaching profession.
Research shows a coaching relationship can lead to many positive outcomes including improved goal attainment, workplace well-being, reduced stress, increased confidence, resilience and many other benefits. Coaching is recognized as a relationship that supports meeting a set of defined goals, often to improve personal and organizational effectiveness.
If you or your association has not worked with professional coaches in the past, getting started is a very simple process. Most coaches have a specific area of expertise and the membership of the Pittsburgh Coaches Association includes business and personal coaches with specialties in career, communication, emotional intelligence, executive, health and fitness, leadership, time management, personal development, relationships, teams and others. Simply select several coaches from the Find a Coach section of our website who specialize in your area of interest and call them to schedule a complimentary coaching session. Then select the coach that best understands your goals and you will be on your way.
It is also easy to personally meet the members of the Pittsburgh Coaches Association by attending a monthly Lunch and Learn event. Simply click on the Calendar on our website and join us for any monthly meeting, networking event or teleclass. Everyone is welcome at all events of the Pittsburgh Coaches Association, and even if you are just curious about coaching come and join us. We look forward to getting to know you!
Don't hesitate to call me directly anytime at 412-983-3376 and I would be very happy to tell you about the tremendous benefits of working with a professional coach.
Warmly,
